Meet BERNINA Ambassador Mae of Mae Just Sew

Hi! I’m Maelynn Wood (my friends call me Mae), the heart, mind, and maker behind Mae Just Sew. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where I design quilt patterns that blend traditional quilting techniques with modern flair. My goal is to create approachable, stylish patterns that resonate with quilters at every level. Whether it’s a downloadable PDF quilt pattern, printed patterns for a shop, or a quick tote project, I want makers to feel confident and inspired every time they sit down to sew.

I first learned hand quilting in a high school home-ec class, and I honestly can’t remember a time since when I haven’t had a needle and thread close at hand. For nearly eight years, I’ve been happily sewing garments and quilting on my BERNINA L 460 and B 475 QE, and they’ve been such trusted companions in my creative journey.

Recently, the wonderful team at BERNINA gave me the nudge I needed to take my skills to the next level—and now I have a brand-new machine that’s opening up even more possibilities. I can’t wait to share the experience with you…
