BERNINA BQM Stars

Hi, all of you BERNINA fans!  Well, it is officially autumn, but if you are like me, you are hoping the cooler temperatures will give you more time to sew and quilt.  And you just might have a few quilt tops waiting for that lovely quilting texture.

If you have a BERNINA 7 PRO Series or B 990, you probably know that you can use the same “BQM” quilting files that you can use on the BERNINA Q-Matic, and this opens a world of possibilities for you.  Unlike embroidery files, BQM files are infinitely scaleable and you can set the stitches per inch right on the machine!  No more ultra long or extra short stitches, even if you scale up or down a ridiculous amount.  (We’ve all tried it.) And don’t forget to use the Needle-Point Laser to place those files!

As an early holiday gift to you, I thought I’d digitize some fun star motifs that you can incorporate into your winter or holiday quilts.  (And, yes, these files are great to quilt into the background of the Starlight Quilt, which is the kit that is a gift-with-purchase on current 7 Pro Series machines.)  They’d also look great on the B 990 placemats that you can find on this post.
